All things are possible with a cute outfit
Good Morning, lovelies! So here’s Monday again with all the possibilities and the fresh beginning (someone’s in a good mood today). I got up very early this morning in order to be ready in time (never happened) to go to work, of course, but also to have a little extra time to post about the outfit I wore yesterday!
This first weekend of February was a sneak peek of the upcoming spring. We finally had a few warm days which got me really excited and happy and made me rush into my dressing room in the search for a fresh, comfortable, ladylike outfit I had in mind all winter, but the weather was not in my favor.
It involved three essential items: fresh green skirt, comfy sweater and a faux sheepskin waist coat. Just to be clear: I love colors. All of them. They make me shine and they make me feel more alive, and give every day (good or bad) a boost of energy and some imaginary glitter to shine all day. But most of all, I adore GREEN. My eyes are deep green and I was always inspired to wear this color too. But, as Coco Chanel once said “The best color in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.” I encourage everyone into finding the color that suits you best, I encourage you in wearing colors, pale or bold, an all colored outfit or just a statement piece to catch the eye, but wear them. They are a true expression of your personality and if chose wisely they can transform a into a piece of art. Don’t forget that the best fashion show is on the street. Always has been, always will be.
I like feeling very feminine all the time and what a better pick than a fluid pleated midi skirt?
I got mine from H&M on this beautiful green shade, perfect for every season! You can wear it with a classic white shirt and stilettos for a chic office outfit, or with a pair of high heeled sandals, a sheer top and a gemstone choker for a sexy Friday night look or you can go with my choice: a merino wool&cashmere blend sweater from United Colors of Benetton, on the most adorable blue color, “baby blue”. The texture is incredibly soft and has a simple but elegant line. I love all knitted pieces from UCB. It’s one of my favorite Italian brands and I stick to it because no product ever disappointed me. They are very good Italian quality, they feel good on the skin and they have the most amazing colors! I mean AMAZING! From all nude shades, to pastels, to crazy bold orange, fuchsia and cobalt blue, up to grays and black. I never miss a chance to buy something while on my trips to Italy, directly from the source.
Winter season is a real challenge for me in having a great outfit all together, because it’s very cold and I have to dress accordingly. Don’t want to sound weird, but I can not understand those winter outfits (street style) where girls are wearing sandals and short summer-ish dresses and ripped jeans despite the freezing cold outside !?! I know sometimes we must suffer in the name of fashion, but not all the time!!! So, to complete my outfit of the day, I took my waist coat (I got mine from C&A more than 5 years ago and it still looks brand new!), a pair of leather dark brown ankle boots (from Zara) to match the coat and my cute little light gold Furla Metropolis Bag for a lovely final touch.
I added some photos below that I hope you will like and you will find inspiring!
Wish you all a great week and don’t forget to write some comments about your favorite color and how you wear it!
Kisses,
Arina
