To me, fashion is a way of self-expression…and I also believe more in a personal style than in the fashion trends from a certain moment. My outfit always reflects my mood and sometimes it even determines my mood for the day. So, ladies, never underestimate the power of a good outfit on a bad day – it can do miracles even for the melancholic ones.
Feeling comfortable is also a very important thing for me when I go out for a walk, as I did on Sunday when I simply wanted to stroll down the streets of Bucharest in the search of a pretty corner for a quick photoshoot.
Lately, I’ve been wearing many light colors, especially neutrals: white, gray, beige, cappuccino, natural brown shades and so on, because they are very easy to combine and offer a clean image when you show up in such an outfit.
I have these new brown suede ankle boots with cute fringes and I couldn’t help myself but wear them. And what a better timing than on the weekend for a casual walk in the old part of the city? Although they are a bit country and they fit perfectly in a boho style outfit even during summer, I wanted to wear something more classic and fashionable situation.
Therefore, I opened my dressing and I immediately took one of my favorite sweaters I bought this winter that I adore. I’m not kidding! Since I bought it, I wear it, then I wash it and then I wear it again. I’m obsessed with it: it’s made out of cashmere cotton (being incredibly soft and keeping me warm through this moody weather) and it makes a great choice even for a day at work, but also for a day out in the city.
Starting with these two pieces: the boots and the sweater, I combined them with a pair of white low profile pants, my cozy wool coat and a hat to protect me from the raindrops.
To maintain the same chromatic palette, I took my newest bag out for a walk – a very fancy and practical accessory to wear these days. It may seem small, but there is plenty of room of a small wallet, keys, cellphone, a lipstick, glasses and some napkins.
I invite you to see the photos below and I’m waiting for your comments. Today’s question is: How do you combine neutrals and when do you like to wear them?
